Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2000), Master in Health Sciences (2005) and Doctorate in Health Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2007) and Post-Doctorate in Health Sciences from UFRN (2013), in addition to a doctorate from the University of Sorbonne / Paris Diderot. He is currently Associate Professor II of the Operational Technique Discipline of the Department of Surgery at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Full Member of the Brazilian College of Surgeons, Master of the Chapter of the Brazilian College of Surgeons of Rio Grande do Norte, Full Member of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery, Member of the Pan American Society of Trauma, Full Member of the Brazilian Society for the Development of Research in Surgery, Vice-coordinator of the Research Base in Experimental Surgery Clóvis Sarinho, Teaching and Research Manager, Onofre Lopes University Hospital (HUOL), Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, under license from the BRAZILIAN HOSPITAL SERVICES COMPANY - EBSERH, Medical Residency Practitioner in General Surgery at HUOL and Vice President Regional RN of the Brazilian Society for the Development of Research in Surgery. Effective Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Biotechnology at Universidade Potiguar; Effective Professor of the Graduate Program in Management and Technological Innovation in Health at UFRN / EBSERH. Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on General Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Oncology, acting mainly on the following themes: infection in surgery, intercurrent factors in wound healing, radionuclide biodistribution, experimental models of osteoporosis, ischemia and intestinal reperfusion and clinical organs, an experimental model of bariatric surgery, development of biocompatible orthoses for the reconstruction of the abdominal wall, biology and nanotechnology in the development of biocompatible herbal medicines with potential for industrialization, an experimental model of digestive fistula, birtherism and anesthesia in small animals, mainly men.
